What's Ahead

When one door closes another one opens. At least that's what we are always told, and if you are like me, that's what you choose to believe in to stay sane. 

But maybe the next door isn't open. Maybe it isn't even visible. That's what I experienced when my current store on Etsy closed at the beginning of January. The door had been slammed shut in my face with me standing on the wrong side stammering trying to find the right words. 

At this point, I am panicking looking around for my next door. The problem: I don't see one. There is no easy solution to what just happened. There is nowhere to turn because now I am in uncharted waters.  I definitely looked like John Travolta in Pulp Fiction that day. 

Which leads us to today. I found a door. I found my own path to follow when it seemed like there was nowhere else to turn. This path led me to a new online only storefront and a full rebrand of my current product lines. 

The door slamming in my face was a good thing. It forced me out of my comfort zone. It forced me to reevaluate my brand, products, marketing, and platform. This shift in my life has been a good thing. I have never built something truly from the ground up. I am learning how to be effective on social media and how to blog. I am learning what kind of business I want and how I want that business to look. What can I say, life has a funny way of working out. 

So, what's ahead? In the coming weeks, you will see a reveal of my new logo and store name. I am SO excited to share this with you all! Future posts will also include some new products that will be stocked when the store officially launches this spring (fingers crossed!!)!
