Welcome to the Show!

Life has a funny way of working itself out. I barely started a blog almost 4 years ago; meaning, I created an account and then never touched it again. 2 years into my wannabe blogger era after never writing a single line, I had an epiphany while in the shower to resurrect my blog. In all actuality, the epiphany was to write a book, but that seemed overzealous even for me! And in the spirit of full disclosure, it was only a singular sentence that allowed my mind to wander into forming a book/blog idea. I actually even drafted 2 posts that never saw the light of day. 

Flash forward another 2 years, and here we are again, however, this time is vastly different. This time around, my blog is going to be tied to my online store. For the past few years, I had dreams of growing my Etsy store into something bigger. I kept putting it off because I was deathly afraid to fail. Well, like I said, life has a really funny way of working out. My Etsy store closed, and I was shoved in this direction. I am still scared as hell, but I am ready for the challenge. 

I had no idea what it took to run an online store completely by myself. Etsy makes everything so easy. I didn’t realize how cumbersome sales taxes were and how cumbersome it is to figure out other states' business registration. I have my degree in accounting and these tax laws have made my head spin. When I was registering my business with the state I live in, I found myself at another crossroads. Do I rebrand myself for this new launch or do I stay in my comfort zone? Well, I took another leap and decided to completely rebrand myself and my storefront. 

Welcome to LIFE X STYLE. A one-stop shop for all things life, style, and lifestyle! This store has been inspired by my life experiences ranging from traveling, attending concerts and music festivals, obsessing over dogs, wishing subtle pop culture merch existed, reading, journaling, and just living life. My hope is that the things I wish existed in the world, you also wish existed. And we are both in luck because now, they do!

So why blog on top of living life and running and owning my business as its only employee? Well, when you run your own business, you also have to market your own business. Plus, as mentioned, I’ve always wanted to have a blog and this seems like as good of a time as any to live that dream. I have so many ideas in my head that will hopefully come to fruition so I will keep putting those vibes out into the universe.
